Katie Huynh, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Beach Physicians Medical Group. Katie received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Keck Graduate Institute. The program provided comprehensive training in medicine- spanning from general practice to specialties as emergency medicine and OB/GYN care.

As a healthcare provider, Katie believes that medicine and public health go hand in hand. She prioritizes preventative care and evidence-based screenings to help patients detect health risks early and prevent future illness. By staying current with medical research and guidelines, Katie strives to empower patients to take an active role in their health while fostering relationships built on trust, transparency, and collaboration.

In Katie’s free time, she enjoys trying new hobbies, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Over 30 Years of Medical Experience and Specializing in Sports Medicine

Arnold J. Brender, MD has over 30 years of medical experience and specializes in sports medicine at Beach Physicians Medical Group in Huntington Beach, California. He provides expert medical care, including sports medicine treatments for knee pain and concussions.

Dr. Brender also performs a number of in-office procedures, such as PRP injections and various minor surgeries, and he is a senior medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and provides exams and medical certificates for pilots.

After earning his bachelor’s degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York, Dr. Brender went on to complete his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He served both his internship and his residency at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.

Dr. Brender is a retired Army flight surgeon, and in addition to his work at Beach Physicians Medical Group, he serves as a physician for the sports teams at Huntington Beach High School, Golden West College, and Orange Coast College.
